The Spring Hill Police Department is once again sponsoring the ‘Giving Tree‘ in partnership with Spring Hill Fresh.
SHPD has sponsored a gift-giving event every year to help ensure Christmas gifts for hundreds of local needy, elementary school children who might not have anything under the tree otherwise.
This year, the focus of the ‘Giving Tree‘ will expanded to also help local Veterans and elderly who have been identified as needing some help this Christmas!
Each year they have served approximately 100 children with the help of our community, local businesses and civic organizations donating gifts and money.
You and/or your business can sponsor a child, military veteran, or senior by signing up for a gift on the online Giving Tree sign-up sheet found at the link below. We will continue to add to this list up until our cut-off date.
December 1, 2018, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Spring Hill Public Library
We will begin our event with a story and songs with Mrs. Claus at 9:00 a.m., then Santa will come rolling in with a cheery Ho Ho Ho and kids can each have a turn to sit and talk with Santa. Parents, bring your cameras (photographer not provided). Each child can make a holiday craft, as well as get a candy cane and a unique balloon animal created by Mrs. Claus.
