May I pay my citation without having to come to Court on my Court date?
Yes, you may pay your ticket prior to your Court date. You will be assessed the maximum fine on each charge, with court costs and a cash bond forfeiture fee applicable to your citation. Your payment will be treated as a “guilty” plea on the charges on the ticket, and reporting that disposition to the Tennessee Department of Safety will be handled as required by state law. You will not be eligible to attend Traffic Safety School unless you come to Court and enter a plea before the Judge, at which time your driving record will be discussed to determine your eligibility for the school.
