The community is invited to learn about the Grassy Branch Creek Restoration Project going on in Spring Hill, and how you can get involved in helping to clean up this important local waterway!
The Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC), which is currently working on the creek restoration project, has a rich history working within the local watershed. Between 2019-2022, the TEC will restore more than 600 feet of Grassy Branch Creek near the Wyngate subdivision at Port Royal Road.
The TEC works throughout the state to educate and advocate for the conservation and improvement of our environment, communities, and public health.
The TEC will be hosting a community gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Peter Jenkins Walking Trail, at the corner of Bern Drive and Port Royal Road. This event will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the Tennessee Environmental Council and how you can get involved. This will be a free, family fun event for the whole community.
