[ARCHIVED] Bark Park Expansion

Dog Park Grant

The Spring Hill Parks and Recreation Department on June 1, 2019, will hold the grand opening of the newly renovated and expanded Spring Hill Bark Park at Evans Park!

The Bark Park, which has doubled in size, will feature hydration stations for humans and for dogs; an area to rinse dogs’ feet before leaving the park; separate areas designated for small dogs and large dogs, each with their own shade structures, park benches, and upgraded agility equipment. Park operating hours will remain the same – dusk to dawn.

These improvements were made possible through $30,000 in grant funds awarded to the Spring Hill Parks and Recreation Department in 2018 specifically designated to revamp the existing Bark Park at Evans Park, 563 Maury Hill St. The City of Spring Hill would like to thank the Boyd Foundation for a $25,000 grant, and the Pet Pals of Maury County for a $5,000 grant, to fund these quality of life renovations for our residents.

We hope you’ll bring your furry friends and join our Parks & Rec. staff, public officials and dog lovers between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the new Bark Park, to celebrate its grand opening! There will be pet-friendly vendors, a D.J. playing dog-themed tunes, and a food vendor. We encourage residents to bring their well-mannered dogs that are up-to-date on vaccinations to join in the fun! Aggressive dogs will be asked to leave. We also ask that you please not bring puppies unless they have had at least two rounds of puppy shots.

Additionally, the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Maury County Chamber & Economic Alliance are jointly hosting an exciting ribbon cutting ceremony for the Bark Park at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 31!
