View the proposed Spring Hill Major Thoroughfare Plan

Proposed Major Thoroughfare Plan Projects Map October 29, 2018

The Spring Hill Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) Report is now available to view at the link below.

The purpose of the Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) is to establish and identify transportation projects within the City of Spring Hill to obtain recognition and funding. Just as important, this plan is intended to assist the City in establishing its priority projects for the roadway network in an effort to respond to and prepare for the continuing growth and development in the community. The recommended roadway improvements were developed based on existing and projected traffic volumes, access to and from key origins and destinations, safety and circulation, and actual observed congestion.

We received many useful comments on the initial draft from citizens during the public input period in the Fall that greatly helped in the creation of this final document. If you would like to make any additional comments on the MTP, please submit them using this form.

We appreciate everyone’s input and involvement and look to adopt this new plan in the coming months. The Spring Hill Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) will formally consider the MTP at its Feb. 19, 2019, meeting. The TAC will provide a recommendation in the form of a resolution to the Spring Hill Municipal Planning Commission, which will review and discuss the MTP during its Feb. 25 Work Session. Consideration of formal adoption of the MTP by the Planning Commission is tentatively scheduled for March 11. All of the meetings mentioned here will be live video streamed on our website and recorded for future on-demand viewing.
