Aug. 9 deadline for citizens to apply for Library Board vacancies

The Spring Hill Board of Mayor & Aldermen (BOMA) is currently accepting applications from interested citizens to fill two vacancies on the Library Board of Trustees (LBOT) beginning Aug. 31, 2018.

The LBOT is a seven-member board appointed by majority vote of the BOMA membership. LBOT members serve a three-year term without compensation, but may be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenses.

The LBOT conducts meetings on alternating months (January, March, May, July, September and November) on the third Tuesday of the month with additional meetings held as needed with proper public notice for all meetings. The LBOT is required to keep and maintain minutes of all meetings.

For an application and a copy of the Bylaws of the Library Board of Trustees listing the board's mission and the duties of its members, please visit Applications may also be picked up at the library or City Hall. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018. Applications should be mailed to: Spring Hill City Hall, Attention: April Goad, City Recorder, P.O. Box 789, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Applications may also be hand delivered to City Hall, 199 Town Center Parkway.
