Fourth of July Bike Parade info; holiday closures; garbage route delays

Fourth of July

The 16th Annual Fourth of July Bicycle Parade, hosted by Spring Hill Parks & Recreation, begins Wednesday morning at the Spring Hill Post Office, 223 Town Center Parkway, and ends with an ice cream party in Evans Park, 563 Maury Hill St.
Decorate your bike, wagon, power wheels, etc., and join the fun! Please wear a helmet. Participants may walk, ride or skate.
The parade line-up starts at 8:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 9 a.m. sharp. For more information, please call 931-487-0027.
Spring Hill City Hall, Spring Hill Public Library, and other municipal buildings will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.
Waste Management (WM) garbage and recycling collection routes in Spring Hill will not run on July 4. All routes will run one day behind starting Wednesday, July 4, for the remainder of the week, due to the holiday. For example, if your collection route falls on Wednesday, it will be picked up Thursday instead. If it's normally Friday, it will be picked up Saturday.
As usual, as WM finishes its routes each day, the trucks will go ahead and pick up any garbage cans already placed at the curb for the next day. However, the delayed collection route will be run on the same streets again the next day, ensuring all routes are fully collected this week.
