TDOT hosting I-65 Corridor public input meeting June 22 at Spring Hill City Hall

I-65 Corridor Study

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will host a public meeting from 5:30 - 7 p.m. June 22 at Spring Hill City Hall to gather public input on its Interstate 65 Multimodal Corridor Study.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has authorized TDOT to conduct an 18-month corridor feasibility study of I-65 – 120.16 miles from the Alabama state line to Kentucky state line – to investigate a range of multimodal solutions to address current and future travel demands, with emphasis on managing congestion, improving safety, maximizing potential for freight diversion and preserving/enhancing economic benefits. The study, which began at the start of 2016, is expected to be complete in July 2017.

The Spring Hill meeting is being held by TDOT to provide the public an opportunity to comment on this corridor. Representatives of TDOT will be available to provide information on various aspects of the study.
