The 2025 City of Spring Hill Citizens' Academy is a free eight-week course open to Spring Hill residents that meets on Thursdays beginning April 24, 2025, from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The course explores key aspects of municipal government through presentations, hands-on experiences, and open discussions.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2025 COURSE

The classes are taught by your elected leaders and senior city staff. Topics include Legislation, Fire Department, Utilities, Finance, Public Works, Capital Improvement Projects, Police, Development Services, Parks & Recreation, and Library.

Participants will have the opportunity to speak directly with City officials and ask questions, as well as tour key facilities to gain a new perspective on the inner workings of their local government. While the City Hall Courtroom will serve as the main "classroom" for this course, several classes will be held at other city facilities.

Graduates of the program will receive a certificate and will be introduced at a public meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

Registration is required and class size is limited. Fill out your application by clicking here.

If your application is accepted, you will be contacted by City Staff.
