(FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT) The City of Spring Hill is seeking maintenance workers for the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a seasonal position from April to October. Employee is responsible for performing maintenance tasks of an unskilled or semi-skilled nature, including cutting grass and/or other lawn care-related tasks, loading and unloading dirt, mulch, gravel, trash, and other debris, including collection and disposal of refuse on the park grounds and buildings. Duties may also include field maintenance of the playing areas under the direct supervision of the Parks Director, as well as special event set up and tear down as needed throughout the season which may require some evenings and weekends. Though most of this employee’s work is specifically outlined, at times instructions to the employee may be somewhat general, and the employee must sometimes use his/her own judgment and deviate from standard operating procedures to get the job done.
Qualifications
One (1) year previous experience in the maintenance field strongly preferred; Experience operation a zero-turn mower preferred. Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds required. Must hold a valid Tennessee Drivers License.
