SPRING HILL TAKES THE PRIZE FOR “BEST TASTING WATER” IN THE REGION
SPRING HILL, TN - The Tennessee Association of Utility Districts (TAUD) held a regional contest earlier this week for the Best Tasting Water in the Region and the City of Spring Hill came home the winner. Competitors for the regional award were Belvidere Rural Utility, Fayetteville Public Utility, Winchester Utility System, Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities, Metro Moore County Utility District, Lewisburg Water Department, Consolidated Utility District, & City of Spring Hill.
Each TAUD Region conducts an annual contest to determine the Best Tasting Water in the Region. The regional contests continue through May, and winners from each region will be entered in the Statewide contest for the Best Tasting Water in Tennessee at the annual TAUD conference. The winning water from the State contest will then be entered into the National contest, “The Great American Water Taste Test” which will be held in Washington D.C. as part of The NRWA Rural Water Rally. TAUD will fly the winning water and a representative from the winning utility to Washington for the contest. TAUD will cover the cost of the flight, hotel and meals for the representative.
Congratulations to the team at Spring Hill’s Water Treatment Plant, led by Mr. Jeremy Vanderford. For more information, visit www.taud.org.
