Posted on: August 29, 2024[ARCHIVED] 'Turning of the Valve' Ceremony Marks June Lake Water Tank Completion
On Monday, August 26, the City of Spring Hill was proud to host a "Turning of the Valve" ceremony at the June Lake Water Tank!
The 3 million gallon Water Storage Tank was built through a joint-development agreement with Buckner Lane Partners, with an even 50% split of the costs.
The development needed 1.5 million gallons of water, with the City needing an additional 1.5 million to help service the north end of Spring Hill. The total City cost of the project was $2.7 million.
The project was approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) at the
November 7, 2022 meeting.
This is the second water tank to come online in 2024, joining the 1.5-million-gallon Arbor Valley Water Tank.
