Local History

28 - Main Street southboundThe Spring Hill Library's Local History Archive is growing (physically and digitally). While we're always excited to accept donations of items and documents relating to the history of Spring Hill, we also understand that these items are precious to you. If you're not ready to donate, would you be willing to bring them in to be scanned or photographed for the archive, and then returned to you?

Local history research inquiries that fit within our Spring Hill scope are always considered. Please be patient with us and allow for a very long response time as we do not have a genealogist or archivist on staff. For Williamson County inquiries, please visit the Williamson County Archives and Museum or the Genealogy and Local History Department of the Williamson County Library. For Maury County inquiries, please contact the Maury County Archives.

The Spring Hill Public Library offers access to both the Library edition of ancestry.com and Family Search on the library's computers. Here is another great resource called The Family History Guide to get you started.

The Spring Hill Historic Commission meets monthly at City Hall. Please check the calendar for dates and times.

Please email Library Director Dana Juriew or call her at 931-451-0723 for more information on all of the above!
