The Spring Hill Fire Department launched a Mentorship Program in early 2021. This program was designed to build a strong, trusted relationship with new hires and newly promoted employees. In this program, the Mentor will start that relationship by being on our interview board. Once the new hire starts their careers here at SHFD, the Mentor will help the employee set career goals and offer any assistance they need to achieve those goals. This program has been well received and supported by all. In just a few short months the number of firefighters registering for courses has increased more than 200%. Even though this program was designed more for the new hires, we have amazing expectations for the future of all SHFD personnel.
