The City of Spring Hill Building Codes and Inspection Department provides building inspection services to assure compliance with the 2018 International Residential Code. 

Mission Statement

The mission of the City of Spring Hill Building Department is to safeguard the public health, safety, preserve quality of life and contribute to economic development by orderly processing of permit applications and subsequent inspections for all building activity within the community’ by monitoring the compliance with the standards of the adopted codes.   This mission is fulfilled by: 1) the issuance of permits, monitoring all building activity by construction inspections. 2.) Responding to complaints for violations of the Municipal, Property Maintenance or series of adopted Building and Life Safety Codes. 3.) Validating the conformance to the, National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations and City of Spring Hill Unified Development Code (UDC).

NOTICE FEE INCREASE FEBRUARY 6, 2023:

Resolution 22-262, to increase Building Permit fees.

Commercial Plan Submittal: 
When submitting Commercial Plans, please email Chris Brooks prior to submitting your plans.

Please email all inspections to the Codes office before 2:30 p.m. the day before you need the inspection.

DIRECTIONS from City Hall:

  • Exit the City Hall Parking lot by turning right onto Town Center Parkway. 
  • At the traffic light by McDonald's, turn right onto Main Street.
  • Continue on Main Street, passing Crossing Shopping center on your left and passing Saturn Parkway exit.
  • As you go under Saturn Pkwy bridge, slow down and look for the Northfield sign on your right. Turn right onto Northfield Lane.
  • Follow Northfield Lane all the way to Bldg 600
