Friends of the Library

We Are the Friends of the Spring Hill Library!

A Friend is someone who supports the Spring Hill Library and promotes the Library wherever and whenever possible.

We volunteer at programs such as the Summer Reading Program, Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party, and the Holiday Open House.

We help the Library staff with various tasks.

We show support for the Library at City Hall meetings.

We raise money to support various programs and to purchase books and other items for the Library.

We Help the Library!

Have you ever…

  • Borrowed a DVD from the Library?
  • Used one of those handy carts and baskets?
  • Participated in the Summer Reading Program?
  • Curled up on a couch in the Children’s Library?
  • Helped a child use the Early Literacy Stations?

No matter which services of the Library you use, you have very likely used something that was purchased by the Friends!  Over the past several years, the Friends have contributed thousands of dollars toward providing furniture, wall hangings and window blinds, computer software, storage and display cabinets, and many other items for the Library.

Quarterly Book Sales
Quarterly Book Sales are held in the Library’s multi-purpose room from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the last Saturday of January, April, July, and October.  Most hardcover books are $1, and paperbacks and children’s books are 50 cents. New releases, DVDs, audiobooks, homeschool items, and other materials are available at bargain prices, too.  We don’t save leftover items from one sale to the next, so every sale offers a fresh new selection.

Permanent Book Sale
Shop for great deals every time you visit the Library!  The Permanent Book Sale is in the nook near the west entrance. The selection changes frequently, so check back often to see what’s new.

Amazon Storefront
Visit our Amazon Storefront to see our selection of special books that you won’t find in our other Book Sales.

We Love Donations!
