Parade Information:

Parade participants please please read carefully the following information before completing the application. There are many changes from previous years so please make sure to communicate these with all of your participants and parents.

No parade vehicles will be permitted to park in the lineup area prior to 2:00PM.
If you need to arrive earlier, you can stage at Home Depot or the UAW Hall and then proceed to the line-up area at 2:00PM. YOU MUST BE IN THE LINE UP AREA AND READY TO BE JUDGED NO LATER THAN 3:30PM.
Awards will be given at 4:30. We step off at 5:00PM.
Roads will be closing prior to the parade, do not wait until the last minute to attempt to get there. 

Vehicles that will be in the parade, please enter the line up area from Kedron Parkway (see map below)
People being dropped off for the parade will need to utilize some of the adjacent parking areas such as Home Depot, McDonalds or Food Lion. Vehicles not in the parade will not be permitted in the line up area to drop off participants.
Marching Bands will utilize the area grass areas at the UAW Hall for staging and preparation.
Groups with large number of walkers, please keep the group together and as compact as possible to leave room for everyone.

The parade will begin at 5pm and will turn left onto Main Street. Someone will be at the front of the line up directing you when to go.
The parade will travel down Main Street, turn left on Beechcroft Road and continue back to Town Center Parkway and end behind Home Depot.  Walking groups continue on into Home Depot parking area to disperse, vehicles will wait for directions and roads to open
The city float will have Santa Claus riding on it; no other floats or vehicles are permitted to have a Santa Claus.
Groups throwing candy, please make sure to throw it as far away from the vehicle as possible and ration enough to have candy for the onlookers that gather along Beechcroft Rd.

Please note, the parade will end Behind Home Depot.
Once the parade makes it off the main roads the police will begin to open all closed roads and allow parade participants to leave.
Groups with walkers please get everyone off the street to a safe location.
